KIANDA'S STORY

Know a little more about my Amazing Dance Journey.

Kianda came into the world loving movement and music and has been dancing since the age of six. Regardless of where she’s traveled and lived, including America, Asia, Europe, and South America; she’s always been able to find her natural rhythm in various cultures’ music. After relocating to from NJ to Baltimore in 2000, she began to take every Salsa class she could. .

In 2003 eventually apprenticed with Psyon Mauricio as an assistant teacher and choreographer and has been dancing with him ever since.

In April of 2011 Kianda was exposed to Kizomba and Semba for the first time and immediately fell in love with the music and the dances. Motivated to learn as much as she could, .

She decided to take her training to the next level over the next three years and spent several months and hundreds of hours abroad training with Master Petchu and Vanessa Pura Ginga,

along side with Ricardo Sousa and Paula Lt. of AfroLatin Connection in Portugal.
